This is the Sony VGX-XL3, a horizontal form factor PC designed for the living room that will ship in April. It has a Blu-ray burner and one CableCard TV slot. There's also HDMI and 1394 connectivity, as well as a wireless keyboard and a 500GB disk.

Sony is readying a 2, 4, and 8gb video Walkman which is smaller than the Apple iPod Nano. It will have the appearance of the NW-A3000/1000 units of old but in a more flat and rectangular form like its Apple counterpart. The big ticket with this device is that it will feature supposedly 8 to 10 hours of video playback.
The hardware interface should feature similar buttons to the A3000 series, a superslim profile ( 6.5mm thick ) and a gorgeous screen of a larger size than the Nano for optimal rotated viewing is expected.
The GUI is still...

This latest high-tech watch is subtle, simple, and solves a major cell-phone problem. That's why it's so sad that Sony Ericsson's MBW-100 will remain a curiosity for most Americans because it's too expensive ($399) and works with only a few phones.
The MBW-100 (made by Fossil, but with Sony Ericsson branding) is a handsome, if chunky, analog watch first and foremost. You have to like big watches to like this sucker, but it has a classy, professional look if attached to an equally manly wrist.
The phone comes in one size, macho. So if...

Sony’s BDP-S1 has been delayed, again. Originally scheduled for release on August 15th the player was then bumped back to October 25th and now SonyStyle.com states new window “Targeted Availability: On or about December 4, 2006”.
What is it about this player that’s causing the delays? Could it be the blue laser diode shortages caused by Sony gobbling up every blue laser diode they can get their hands on for the PS3? Well according to Andy Parsons new window of Pioneer “player manufacturers are unlikely to be affected by a blue...

Now, it's mostly geeks and tech-savvy youngsters who know how to get homemade videos onto YouTube and other popular video sites, says Pure Digital Technologies CEO Jonathan Kaplan.
Pure Digital today announces a simpler solution: a camcorder that plugs into PCs and has built-in software to transfer and process the video with one click.
It's a new edition of a camcorder Pure Digital first began selling in May. Two units — $129 for one that holds 30 minutes of video clips and $169 for a 60-minute version — are now being shipped to...

The original Walkman, which pretty much made Sony the dominate player in the portable cassette (and eventually cd) player.
But in the age of the iPod, Sony's really fallen behind. They hope to bounce back with the Bean (yeah right...) and now this new version of their Walkman. I'll have to admit that it looks cool ... they said a 3-minute usb charge will get you a 3 hour playback.
Click on the link above to read more about this new player.

See link for the video - basically this is a Skype Phone and Mouse combination. Kind of pricey at $99. You can read more about it here:

Pretty cool. I have a green Skype Phone by itself, but wouldn't mind a mouse/Skype so it will be less clutter.

Sony presented this morning their latest HDD and DVD (supporting HD for recording) media recorders, including the RDZ-D900A (400GB and DL burner), the RDZ-D800 (400GB and DL burner), and the RDZ-D700 (250GB and DL burner). These 3 media recorders also have a digital and analog TV tuner. They all have pretty much the same features, except the RDZ-900A, equipped with HDMI, an iLINK HDV connector and USB port. It will therefore be possible to copy your videos both ways, from the RDZ-D900A back to an HD camera for example. The RDZ-D900A also...
