Apple Computer CEO Steve Jobs confirmed months of speculation today by unveiling a new mobile phone that plays and downloads music and a set-top box that allows people to stream video from their computers to their televisions.

Apple and Cingular have signed an agreement that will make the US' largest cell phone provider the exclusive carrier of Apple's forthcoming phone, sources report. Apple's iPhone remains on track for an early 2007 release.

With today's (Tuesday) announcement of the new 80 gig Ipod Fifth Generation, I think people are overlooking the new and improved shuffle. I honestly hated the shuffle and actually was given one via my work, but I never had the heart to use it.
