Navigating in a real 3D environment
UK based media processor manufacturer 3DLabs demonstrated the capabilities of their product using TeleAtlas maps and in a 3D modeled version of Paris. Shown at 3GSM World Conference in Barcelona, 3DLabs’ product differs from others such that it provides a real 3D experience as opposed to what you get on most GPS systems where they actually ’tilt’ a 2D map to create a false view of 3D flyover.
3DLabs does not intend for this technology to be used in only personal navigation devices but also make them available for digital audio...
